? re:gifts for daycare staff
If there are different staff in the room all the time how do I know who to give to? Any ideas on something for everyone to share. Maybe I'll do a big basket of baked goods? Or is that too impersonal?

If there are different people always in the room no steady staff what about doing a breakfast for them. COffee, fruit, and bagels or muffins. It is hard when there is not a steady person in the room. Just attach a nice note from Roman

I do gift cards. Nothing says Thank you for putting up with my kids' potty training and tantrums like a nice heartfelt note, cash & some Godiva Chocolate.

Re: ? re:gifts for daycare staff
There are 2 regular teachers for my DD's class noted on her daily reports, and then the afternoon teachers rotate so there can be anywhere from 3-5 diff teachers....
She only goes there 3 days a week - how much should I give?

Re: ? re:gifts for daycare staff
I give AMEX gift cards or Simon gift cards. It certainly gets expensive since I have to buy for 8 teachers, but I feel like they are caring for my children 3 days a week - 9 hours a day. They are very appreciative of it.

Re: ? re:gifts for daycare staff
I would do something small and simple. I'd be concerned if it was the baby room that there are different people in there that much. I'd think there was a morning and afternoon shift with maybe a floater to cover lunch.....
ask the director who the teachers are in that room or those that are in there a majority of the time. It's usually a lead teacher, then an asst teacher, then maybe another asst to help out.
You could do a basket of baked goods for the room or a popcorn tin?
I got lots of gift cards, some body lotion tubes from Bath & Body works, etc. A blockbuster card w/ a package of microwave popcorn is good.
What about small potted plants for each teacher and you could decorate the pot, put the babys' hand prints or the teachers' name on it. They could leave it in the classroom or take it home

I give $25.00 per person. I have to buy for 8 people. Yes it gets expensive but like I said they are taking care of my 9 month old and 2 year old which is still diapers, feeding, etc.
