REGISTRY: Bottles - Few Questions
What kind of bottles did you register for?
How many bottles did you register for?
How many sizes did you register for?
What size goes with what age?
I'm thinking about using disposable liners, can you pump straight into those?
If I'm using disposable liners, can they be warmed the same way as a regular bottle?
How long does breastmilk last in the refrigerator? What about formula, is it the same time as breastmilk?

Re: REGISTRY: Bottles - Few Questions
I am getting Medella and Born Free. Probably in a few sizes to start and then will get more as I need them.
Medella sells bags you can pump right into and store them. Then to defrost you just place them in a bowl of warm water or in the frig. Never defrost in microwave or on stove.
I am not sure of how long it lasts, I don't have my cheat sheets handy.

I love the Playtex drop-ins!! They are the ones that have the disposable liners. I would definitely reccommend them! I have heard you can pump directly into them. Although, I think you may have to buy an attachment.
Have fun registering!!

Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
I was looking on BRU at Advent and they have disposable liners too! I'm wondering if you can do the same by pump directly into them--anyone know?

Re: REGISTRY: Bottles - Few Questions
I have the Advent as well! I don't know of any Advents that use disposable liners. Maybe it is something new. I use to pump into the Advent with an attachment. I no longer use Advent because of the plastic contains BPA. I am sure someone told me that they were able to pump into the playtex drop-ins. Maybe someone on here will know.

Re: REGISTRY: Bottles - Few Questions
We have the playtex drops ins with teh liners. I am not sure about BF as I never pumped.
But here is my advice, dont go too crazy with the bottles because I know quite a few people who had to switch for their DC. We did not though.
I registered for the nurser gift set, which came with 3-8z bottles and 2- 4oz bottles as well as another pkg of 3- 4oz bottles. This was fine to start.
You can't associate bottle size wtih age. My son was a big baby at birth (almost 10lbs) he loves to eat and by 7 weeks was done with teh 4oz bottles. Now I only use 8oz bottles unless we are going out and I need something small just incase then I carry a 4oz bottle. Many babies at his age are still only taking about 4 or 5 oz per feeding. My son is at 6.5.
I also registered for 4oz liners, and a insulated carrier.
Heating them up is easy, we either throw them in the microwave or run them under hot water if we are out.
I like them because I know the liners are clean and sterile.

That is exactly what I registered for as well. Four of each of the Dr. Brown's glass bottles.
