registry question... TMI items.....

I can't do it... I simply CAN'T!

I was Chat Icon registering for a pump (which I just did now since my generous friend put a big dent into my BRU registry)

However, I CANNOT bring myself to register for all of the accessories we need. the creams, pads... you know the stuff Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think I'll just buy it all myself. To me, it would be like registering for maxipads Chat Icon

did you register for that stuff? Am I just being wierd?

I agree. There is a bunch of little stuff that I will not register for (binkies and the like as well as breast pads and milk baggies...)

I registered for everything, I really didn't even think about it being weird or anything. I registered for the milk storage bags, pads, cream, etc. To me it's just other stuff that I need...........wasn't weird for me at all but I understand where you are coming from. Chat Icon

Re: registry question... TMI items.....

Honestly, I didn't register for those things because I wasn't 100% sure that bf/pumping would work for me so i didn't want to have tons of things I might not need...I bought the storage bags, etc. after about a month, when I actually started pumping and realized it would work for me...I did buy the lanolin cream, but used it once and realized that I really didn't need it and never used it again...if you do register for those things, I would suggest not getting too many of anything because you never know what you might like/not like, etc.

very good point.... this is partially the reason why I hesistated to register for a pump at all.... but it's true, that applies to all the accessories as well.....

Also, you can't always return the pump if you decide you will not use it...I waited until I needed it to purchase it (gift cards came in handy for that!)...

I didn't register for any of it. I had so much money in gift cards after the shower that we could easily afford the pump with tons of gift cards left over.

i felt the same way and bought most of those items. i did register for the pump, though nobody bought it. i also felt uncomfortable registering for diapers and wipes.

Re: registry question... TMI items.....

i added all that stuff AFTER my shower so that i still got the discount but did not feel it was TMI for people buying the gifts.
