Relieved is exactly how I feel right now!
Well, my FIL called me today. To bring you up to date, he was going to come celebrate Christmas with us, as well as BIL, SIL, and 2 nieces. I am due 12/18. They were going to stay in our home(which we don't even have yet).
My mother flipped. She said they had no right to do this. That they should stay in a hotel. But she also did not want me to tell DH this, she thinks he has his hands full with his family and did not want to make a problem.
So, FIL calls, I never said a word about hotel, and magically by the end of the call, he will be staying in a hotel and he is calling BIL to tell them to stay in a hotel as well. He apologized and said it was wrong for him not to call ahead of time and ask.
He also said he would like to buy the carseat. So it was a great call. Carseat will be purchased, and I am without 5 houseguests now. I can get a full night sleep again.

oh !! I am jealous, I told DH we have to start installaing a revolving door - we have divorced parents each and on his side, they are both re-married, so there is going to be alot of confusion and I don't want everyone there at once. BIL is even moving BACK here that month from AZ !!!
That is wonderful that they had common sense to back off just a little bit, you will be a new mommy and don't need the extra stress !

Thank goodnes!!!!! I hate when OOT family stays in my house. especially since I live in a tiny apartment! I can only imagine how difficult it would be for you after you have the baby
