REPAIR HELP- silk cable sweater

I rubbed a part of my silk sweater, on the cable pattern, and now that little section looks VERY worn out.

I only wore it twice. Any ideas for fixing this?

I am not sure what you mean. Did you rub it when it was wet?

Kind of...I spilled a little bit of coffee on it, and then went to rub it with a paper napkin. There isn't any napkin residue on it or anything like that, but the little area of fabric looks really worn now.

Have you taken it to the dry cleaner's?

Silk gets strange when you wet it.

I did. It looks exactly the same as when I dropped it off. Chat Icon

Oh, I don't know then Chat Icon . Sorry. I think it might just stay that way, unless you wash the whole sweater to make it all equal; I wouldn't do this. I have handwashed some silk and it does get dull.
