Reporting car accident
DH was in a minor car accident yesterday. He was changing lanes and was rear ended. Police were called and inusrance info was exchanged. There was no damage to our car, but damage to the other persons car. Should I be calling my insurance company to let them know? DH has to pick up the accident report this week.

Re: Reporting car accident
Yes you should still call your insurance company to tell them about the accident. The other person is going to call into their insurance because they have damage on their car.
I had something similar happen to me and the other person's insurance called me and said we see you never reported the claim to your insurance (this was at least 3-4 months after the accident). I had called literally an hour after the accident and gave her ins. company the claim # and never heard from them again.

Yes, you should at least let them know. Its better if they have it on record from you (even if you aren't claiming anything) as if/when the other persons insurance may call them.. If you fail to notify your insurance company after the accident, they have the right to refuse to cover any claim.
