REPOST - donating food
Does anyone know where my family can donate food items like baked ziti, lasagna and fruit baskets etc? A family member passed away this week and we've been inundated with food from friends and neighbors. While it's really appreciated, there's no way we can eat everything and we don't want to let it spoil or toss it.
Any suggestions? TIA

A Homeless shelter? Women's shelter? Animal shelter (for the worker's there)? Your Church might know of a few needy families. Do you know of an elderly neighbor that could use a precooked meal? HTH

Island Harvest is an agency that collects food and distrubutes it to the needy.
