Repost from Pregnancy - did you spot in the beginning of your pregnancy?

I just had the scare of my life...I wiped and there was blood. It's not too much, and when I called the dr. he said it is fairly common and to be concerned if it is more than a period.
I am going for a sono tomorrow just to be safe, although being that I am only 6 weeks we may not be able to see the heartbeat yet.

So, my question is, did you spot in the beginning?
ETA: If you did, how long did it last, and how much blood was it?

I did spot a little at six weeks, and since I am RH Negative, I needed a shot of Rhogam. If you are negative as well, you might want to ask your doctor about getting Rhogam.

Yes I spotted at 5 weeks. I went for a sonogram. Everything was fine.

I was given a sonogram picture of Maddie's empty sac. A week later we went back to see the heartbeat.

It was brown blood, similar to the beginning of my period.

I spotted up till 10 weeks and my daughter just turned 1

I did a little bit and got into a panic but everything was fine.

I spotted ffom 5- 11 weeks then off and on until 20 weeks. Everything appears good at 27 weeks pregnant.

Yes, for both my pregnancies. For the entire pregnancy. Not all the time, but I used to have spotting at all stages. I had two healthy kids.

I did as well. It lasted from about 5w through to my 2nd trimester. DS & I are both fine

i bled for the first 3 months of all three pregnancies..
and then with my last i bled at 22 weeks and again at 26

i don't remember exactly when i spotted but def during the beginning. after seeing that stuff, i also felt the same way. but after seeing my doctor, he was assured it was all very common and natural. it's 'old blood.' i'm sure you're going through the same. good luck on your doctor's appointment.

I spotted from 5 weeks until 13 weeks and everything was fine

Yes twice. Once before my first sono (I bled for about 4 hours off and on) - so they did a beta, and that was around 5 weeks.

And once after my first sono - at 6 1/2 weeks so I went in for another sono at 7 weeks. I hope everything is ok with you!

I spotted for the first 11 weeks of my pregnancy

I spotted at 7 weeks...I remember I woke up in the am and as I stood up I felt it! Scared me half to death...went for a sono that day and everything was fine!
