Repost from TTC-HSG question
I thought maybe some of you ladies could help. I am starting testing now because DH and & have been having difficulty conceiving. I am supposed to go for an HSG on day 8 after AF. Now I am worried though because years ago I was told that I am allergic to shrimp & other shellfish after I was having allergic reactions out of the blue. I am honestly really not sure that this is accurate. (I have Crohn's disease & my specialist thinks that my system was just whacking out- not actually true allergies). Now I'm nervous that I won't be able to have the test. What do you think? Any advice/info would be appreciated. I'll call my dr. on Monday. Thanks!

Have you had shellfish recently? If you haven't, you might have to tell your Dr. or get tested by an allergist before the HSG, if possible. Good luck.

best of luck to you, I hear an HSG helps in many cases.

Re: Repost from TTC-HSG question
Thanks ladies. I am going in for a sonogram & blood tests tomorrow, so I will discuss with him. Hopefully there is an alternative test or maybe the allergy testing would be a good idea to double check.
