My friends shower is next week and she didn't register for a light weight stroller....i wanted to purchase one for her....and someone recommended the Combi Cosmo. Does anyone own this stroller? Any advise? Any other recommendations?!?! I'm not a mom...and I'm totally clueless about baby stuff. Thanks!

I have the Britax Preview and love it.

ETA: 2 main reasons for buying this - easy recline and big basket underneath.

Also I had to have a front bar for his cheerios, etc.

I have the Chicco C5 and I love it.... It folds like one of those cheapie umbrella strollers, but it's much sturdier. It reclines, has a canopy and basket. DH even likes it bc the handles are high enough for him so he's not hunched over. It's great for traveling and quick trips.

Re: REPOST-light weight stroller HELP

I just bought the Maclaren Volo - I would not suggest this stroller. DS is 8mths old and I feel he is too small for it. Plus alot of light strollers do not recline so you may want to look into that. Good luck!

I know nothing about the Combi at all so I can't even begin to comment on it. I do have the Graco Metrolite and LOVE it. I can easily lift it, it reclines fully, has a nice basket for storage and lots of cup holders! (It also can accomodate an infant carrier if one so chooses.)

I love my Metrolite for everyday use but if you're looking for a really lightweight like an umbrella type stroller than I'd say Chicco also. They seem really nice and super reasonable plus you can still recline and they come with a bag to carry the stroller in too!

Re: REPOST-light weight stroller HELP

I have a Combi stroller. I actually got the full sized graco travel system but the stroller was so big it didn't fit in my car's trunk (yeah I know bad planning!). So we use the Combi stroller for everyday travel.

I really like the Combi, I like that it's small and lightweight, and it has a carrying strap (my DH loved this the other day when he took DD on the train, he carried her, the stroller and the diaper bag at once!). It also reclines, which is good if she takes a nap, and it has a 5-point harnass. And it handles pretty well for a small stroller.

The thing that I don't like it it's hard to adjust the recline, especially with the baby in it.

I thought it was a good compromise, not a huge stroller but not an umbrella stroller. We've gotten a LOT of use out of it so far.

ETA: It also has a small basket underneath, but no tray other than a little tray on the side for a bottle.
