Resodding lawn and putting in IGS
Does anyone have any recommendations for companies to resod our lawn and put in inground sprinkers? I'm not sure if this would be two separate companies, or if one company can do the whole job.
Our lawn is in such bad shape, and as much as we've tried to revive it since we moved in 2.5 years ago, it has only gotten worse. We want to start from scratch. TIA!

I do not have any recommendations as we live in NJ, but you may not need to re-sod your lawn. Ours was a mess in front and very bare and from the heat this past summer. In the back we had it regraded and even though we put down grass seed, it was mainly weeds. My DH hired Scott's lawn service and I can't believe how good our lawn looked in such a short amount of time (I think we started we in October). It is a little pricey but I think if you get them to get it green and weed free which they will then you just maintain it, it will be worth it.

I have no green thiumb so this is why I hire people to take care of the major landscaping around our house. We neglected out lawn the 1st whole year. This year we began the process of "revitalizing" our lawn in the fall. We had overseeding, pesticide and mole treatment applied. We signed up for a contract to control the weeds starting in April and I think pretty much every month there after until September. We will overseed again in April and they will fertilize as well. Crabgrass really took over this year so when fall came, we had tons of brown areas. I was told it could take up to 3years for a healthy looking lawn. You don't have to start completely from scratch. My recommendatio is to have a few professionals come in and asses your situation in the spring after the frost.

Just be careful about what chemicals they put down, especially if you have kids or pets. Or if you live near the water.

I used Fabio Landscaping and Pipitone Irrigation! Loved them. If you want specifics, feel free to FM

I agree with a pp that you do not need to resod your lawn. I had inground sprinklers put in this past summer and my "lawn" was a mess prior to installation. I was told by the installer "listen to an Italian, just seed and water it every day for 2 weeks", LOL! He was right!!! I can recommend my guy. Barone Lawn Sprinklers in Rockville Centre.
