Restaurant suggestions in the Stony Brook area
My cousin, who is in his last year of med school at Stony Brook, just got engaged. They live near the university.
I wanted to get them a gc to a restaurant near them, but I'm a Nassau girl and know nothing about what's out that way. Suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Restaurant suggestions in the Stony Brook area
The Country House or Three Village Inn are in Stony Brook.
And Mirabelle in St. James is about 10-15 minutes away.

Re: Restaurant suggestions in the Stony Brook area
I've heard great things about Pepimento in Stony Brook but I never been there personally.

Re: Restaurant suggestions in the Stony Brook area
depends on his taste....Country House and Three Village Inn are very nice places....rich and elegant food and presentation.
A personal fave of mine is Garden Grille in St James. The best penne ala vodka I've ever had.
Carnival is nice too...from what I remember it's a pizzeria in front and the restaurant is in the back (DH & I first dinner date....)
Danford's has the view of the water...not sure about food though....their turnover of staff is pretty high.
Il Miradoro has been there awhile too... and Lombardi's on the Sound....not sure if its a restaurant or just a catering hall.
List of PJ restaurants
