restaurants for 1st bday?

I called the Irish Coffee Pub and Captain Bill's today because those are two of our family favs but they were each about $30 pp and then additional costs. We'll probably have almost 50 people at DD's 1st bday and wanted to keep the costs just around $1000 if not under! We would love to have it at home but in early May the weather is just to iffy to think that we can have it outside and we can't fit everyone inside . WWYD?

We had a great experience at J&R's Steakhouse in Stonybrook and the prices were very good. DD#2's Christening was there. Also had my friends shower upstairs at the BeechTree Cafe in Islip and also was very reasonable and we were very happy.
