Restaurants in Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa Area
New to this area and want to explore some good places to eat. Looking more for family friendly restaurants considering we have a 2 year old and would be grabbing dinner between 5-6ish. We pretty much like all types of food so name any type of place TIA

I sound like an advertisement (I'm not!) because I always suggest this place, but I love the Good Life in Massapequa Park.

Family friendly is a little more challenging IMO.
Maybe the Good Life in MP?
We love Snaps and Salumi but they are not places for kids IMO.
The Morning Rose Cafe is good too but you should hit them super early in the am before they draw a crowd.
Bellisimo you could probably get away with kids and Mamas in Copiague but both are a little further east.
I also haven't had Vittorios yet but hear good things about it and I know they support the community.

Good Life, Vittorio's is excellent but more of a date place i think not with a 2 year old, Brownstones for breakfast or lunch is my favorite, Umbertos is excellent in Wantagh, Opa in Bethpage for Greek, Don Juans for mexican in Massapequa,

Def agree with the Good Life, Vittorio's & Don Juan's. Some other good and casual or semi casual places are (all in Massapequa):
-Taco Joe's -Zim Zari's -Mercato -Greek Street -Jam (for breakfast and lunch only though) -Phil's 2 Pizzeria -Big Daddy's
If ever on a date night I am obsessed with Salumi and love Hudson's Mill.

I have been to Thom Thom a few times and think it's just eh.
Seems more like a shower/event place and the food is nothing to write home about.

If we are going out to dinner and bringing our toddler we go to:
Mercato Don Juans Good Life Zim Zari (not a huge fan but kid friendly and cheap)
I actually love Thom Thom but reserve that for later date nights

Re: Restaurants in Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa Area
i wish salumi knew how to spell "merrick road" and had a better website.
:)
Boss Crokers for a bar and wings and burger.
hemingways for martinis
Runyon's .. lighthouse clams! the finest clams ever and the meals haven't ever disappointed me.
Villa D'Aqua - bellmore... really great food. sometimes the service sucks, but food always makes up for it. especially the appys.
kids: millers & texas roadhouse (junky food, but with kids, are you really dining fine?)
ETA: boss crokers has a little eating area where you can sit and bring kids. i would rec that before millers or texas roadhouse, especially for burger (and wings)..
