restaurants near msg?
dh got us tix to a concert at msg on valentines day... i'd like to make reservations at a nearby restaurant. not too fancy, we aren't fancy people. just good food is a must; we're food people  any recommendations?

we passed nick and stef's last week... it looked really nice; we were like "oh that looks cheap" lolol
tupelo is italian? where is it?

Tupelo may be too fancy for what you're looking for then.
There is a very inexpensive Italian restaurant :
136 W 31st Street
New York, NY 10001
All of the out of towners for my company go to Niles, which is in the Affinia Hotel.
For pub food (along the lines of Meehan's in Hungtington) is:
Mustang Harry's - it's on 7th Avenue

my favorite pub, the Molly Wee, is on 30th and 8th, just south of MSG and the post office on 8th avenue.
great little pub and the food is yummy too! gret sandwiches, burgers and salads. they also have dinner specials like sheperds pie, lamb, fish ,etc. (it's an irish place).
my friends own it--- nice people ,great place. even if you don't eat there, it's a great place to grab a pint before or after the show or game

Whoops... Il Campanello. It's on the right side of the street.
Oh there's also a really good italian restaurant we just had our Sr. Manager's meeting...

We had an LIF GTG there. Pub food was good. I had the chicken caesar salad.
