Results back from the endometrial biopsy UPDATE
Just got the call. They have to do more tests so they are sending me for a D & C. Hopefully I can get in there this Friday.
More waiting... 
Then she called me back and said that she suggests Bryan and I move straight to IVF since one tube is blocked and shes worried about an ectopic pregnancy.
But wouldnt I want to try IUI first? So confusing and frustrating.

Thanks. She threw out a bunch of words, hyperplasia coulodnt be rule out, overgrowth of the uterine lining, fragments endometrian .. blah blah blah.
I hope I can get this done Friday. Im so sick of waiting to "start ttc"

if you have a blocked tube iuis might not work at all bc if you ovulate from the side of the blocked tube...the egg and the sperm cant meet

i am so sorry...
but think of it this way..no wasting time on iui or TI..u guys know what u have to do and u can focus on that
i know how sucky it is to hear the diagnosis but remember this is a starting point

thank you all. My head is spinning with all this information and this is just the beginning.
Any know anything about hyperplasia? Thats what shes saying I have to get the D&C for. She wants to make sure I do not have hyperplasia.
What happens if I do have that? I shouldve asked her more questions.

Good luck with all of your decision. I am glad that you have a diagnosis (although it may not be the best news), it allows the Dr to take a course of action.

I know nothing about these things but are there any ways to unblock the tubes and give it a go before moving to IVF? Honestly, when my doc wanted to go aggressive at the beginning, I was having trouble accepting it and it took me time to get used to the idea. It really is a shock, and I'm sure you werent expecting it. But it also sounds like she's not really explaining things well enough for you. Once she sits you down and explains it, and you do all your research, you might be more accepting of the idea. In a way, I think it's great that she's willing to be so aggressive. Some docs just jerk you around for a while and force you to advocate for yourself.
When I was having trouble deciding to be so aggressive, the girls on here really grounded me. They said things like: "this is what you want, right? You're seeking help to have a baby, so it's better off to have it sooner than later. And who knows how long its going to take."
So that helped me realize to go and go hard! Good luck!

Thank you for this so much. I just got the call for the D&C. Its scheduled for this Friday at 9:30am. Guess I'll take one step at a time but the more questions I ask the more accepting of the fact that IVF is probably the way we are going to go bypassing Clomid and IUI's. She believes the greatest chance for us is IVF. We'll know more after Fridays tests.
