rethinking my goal

I am losing inches- depsite the scale really not moving

my old clothes are fitting- not my super skinny clothes- but I am starting to like my body again- I have a shape again

when I started this "diet" and excercise routine -- my goal was to get back down to a size 2- which was never a realistic size for me- it was always a fight to get there- and it was never a size I could be with muscle- I am just not built like that- I have an a$$ and hips- which I actually like

so I have a new goal- I want a flat stomach- so I can be a size 4 in jeans and wear any shirt I want

I don't care about the number on the scale anymore- the scale lies anyway- it hasn't moved in 2 weeks and I can wear clothes I haven't been able to wear in months

and if my doctor doesn't like it- screw him- I am finding a new doctor- he is an idiot anyway

Re: rethinking my goal

sounds great. there is not much difference between a 2 and a 4 anyway. I am a 2 with a constant bloated belly. I would love to be a 4 with a flat belly instead.Chat Icon

Re: rethinking my goal

ITA! I went through something similar a while back. I am 5'6" and I always looked my best at 125-130 lbs. After the birth of my first child, I started working with a trainer to lose weight and tone up. It was the best money I have ever spent! I got down to 140 lbs but the scale wouldn't budge past that. However, I fit into all of my old clothes (pre-pregnancy, I never worked out) and looked and felt great! So, I agree...the scale can definitely be deceiving!!
Good luck with reaching your goal! It sounds like you're doing great!

Agree, cause I rarely get on the scale.
As long as I'm excercising as much as I realistically can, mindful of what I eat, and my clothes fit it doesn't matter.

Sounds like you work hard at it and are doing everything right!
