Retrieval/Transfer
I had my retrieval done yesterday and just heard back from the RE....they retrieved 7 eggs and 5 fertilized. I am scheduled to have my transfer this saturday at 11:15.
Is 5 a good number? Has anyone had success with only 5 fertilized eggs?
I feel okay about it, but I still wish that I had more.

Cheryl, it only takes one! 5 is a great # My RE put back 4, so if you do that you still have 1 to freeze! I think it depends on how old you are how many they put back, I am 39 so hence we put back 4. Don't worry your numbers are great. Good luck

I had 10 retreived, 8 fertilize, 5 make it to day of transfer, implanted 4 and am pregnat with twins!
The first IVF, we only got 5 eggs, 3 fertilized, put all 3 back and became pregnant with a singleton!

As the others said, it only takes one good one!!
A lot depends on your age and FSH levels. But 5 is definitely not a bad number!!

I have a one month old now from only 5 fertilized eggs 
I had 14 retrieved and only 5 made it and one was all it took.
Theres so much hope for you.

Thanks for the good luck wishes ladies 
My embryos were looking really good yesterday, so they pushed me to a 5 day transfer....I go tomorrow at noon for my transfer.
I was a bit nervous about it because I just want them back already. But I know this is a good thing because now they will be able to pick out the 2 best embryos to put back.

I'm back from my transfer. We transfered 2 blastocyst. My beta test is schedule for July 18.
I definately need lots of sticky vibes sent my way!!!!
