Returning things to Macys

Here's the story... I had my bridal shower 4 years ago and finally got around to buying a piece of furniture to put all my china and good stuff in...(I know, I'm a little slow). All the stuff has been in my grandmothers attic since then.

There are two pieces that I didn't register for and got as a gift that I really don't like. My mother knows they were bought at Macys, but I don't have a gift receipt. I looked on Macys website and they still sell the stuff... The bowl is $84 and the platter is $180 Chat Icon I feel bad, but do you think I can get store credit for them, or just forget about it and hope to use it one day??

I would really like the store credit.

Here's a picture of it... its called Wilton Amertale...

Quite honestly - I would call the Macys Registry number. They will probably give you a store credit, but probably not for full price. If at some time in the last 4 years they had the prices very low - they might only give you that amount.

I would carry the items into the store, and return them for credit without saying a word...unless I'm questioned Chat Icon

Try calling Macy's before you go and ask them what they can do for you. I wouldn't tell them it was four years ago, that they may have a problem with. But if they still sell it, you should be able to get store credit for it.Chat Icon

Thanks...I'm just going to bring them and say I got them as a gift. Whatever I get for them is better than them just sitting here taking up space!

They will give you the lowest selling price, and you will get a store credit.
You never know, the full price may be the lowest selling price!
