Rice & Beans

Does anyone have a recipe for this?? I searched but didn't find anything for kids.

ETA: Also, whiat kinds of beans do you feed your kids?

I think you can make any recipe of rice and beans unless you are talking about a really little one (under a year).

I'm actually making that tonight using red beans and black beans and crossing my fingers that DS will eat it!

Well the one I just made was from the cookbook Cheap. fast. good! by Beverly Mills and Alicia Ross and to be honest it wasn't that great. (This was the first time making it and I'll probably wouldn't make it again)


I found this recipes on ALL Recipes that got good reviews and it seems pretty basic.

You can also try just making plain rice and throwing in a few plain beans if your child isn't that big on seasonings. I also sometimes make pasta and put some red beans in it for Kevin. He likes most of his food really plain.


Update: As expected, DS did not eat the rice and beans. Am I ever going to get him to eat something other than chicken nuggets, meatballs and hot dogs?

Love rice and beans and eat it alot! DD seems to like... We use brown rice and any bean, red, pink, black cannelini, chick peas, anything
