Ridiculous supermarket vent....
OMFG- if you are not proficient at using the self checkout feature- then WAIT ON A REGULAR LINE.
Or better yet- do your self-checkout *training* during off-peak hours.
The 2 ladies in front of me BOTH had the same issue. What's ironic is the lady right in front of me TOTALLY rolled her eyes at the first lady when she (lady#1) was having difficulty!!!!

that has happened to me more than once....and I vowed that I will not use the self checkout if there is someone in front of me...I will wait on a line with a cashier!!

YOU ARE hilarious..
can i add.. do not do a months worth of shoppin and then go to the self check out line with over 150 items in your overflowing cart. and THEN try to figure out how to use it!! for that u should just be shot.

No no.... you're FINE. THAT happens to the pros ALL the time. It's the ones who do stupid shite like, take their bag (just ROTATE to another empty bag) when its full, or have no idea where the credit swiper/coupon slot/cash slot are, or (and todays winners) the people who just can't follow the SPOKEN directions from the machine.
Heaven forbid they have produce (no bar code )

sooo many times i see a self checkout with 15 item minimum and the shopping cart is filled to brim and they are taking foreeeeeeeeever....
also one time was at the self checkout- the lady with her two kids stood inches next to me waiting to finish.....
