riding my bike?
I went for a bike ride this morning, and was more concious of bumps.....I live in an urban area with lots of speed bumps, cracks, and I ride on sidewalks too. Its very bumpy....that's fine though, right?

Re: riding my bike?
I don't even think you should be riding a bike. if it's bumpy, why would you continue to ride?

Re: riding my bike?
The only reason I've ever heard NOT to ride a bike while preggo is that your balance is off due to your belly. I don't think I'd worry about the bumps...but I'd just watch yourself because one bad fall could be disasterous.

Definitely not...I was still riding at that point too...I wouldn't worry at all unless you have any cramping or bleeding.

That's the only thing I've heard too. I've heard not to take up bike riding while pregnant, but if you rode a bike before getting pregnant, I don't see why you'd have to stop. I'd ask your doctor about whether you can continue bike riding during pregnancy.

that is not true! it may be a no no for your doctor, but not all. it wasn't for mine.
you CAN bike ride, but as you get bigger, your center of gravity shifts which can make a fall easier to do. and you do not want to fall.
at 6 weeks, assuming you have a normal pregnancy, ride all you want. and if you're concerned, ask YOUR doctor.

Re: riding my bike?
I ride my bike all the time - my doctor told me it was fine - I'm not mountain biking, I just go on regular bike rides. He asked if I know how to ride, I told him I have been riding a bike since I was 5 years old... He said no problem - If you are a loud to run while pregnant why can't you ride a bike?

Re: riding my bike?
PS - I just stopped riding my bike at 8 months (my knees would hit my belly)
