Re: ring question

I had a ring like that once. I believe moisture gets trapped in there and that is how your finger is getting inflammed. You need to remember to take it off when you get your hands wet and careful that no products such as lotion, soap, etc, get caught in there either.

Re: ring question

I havent had any problems so far. Do you take your rings off when you wash your hands or do dishes?

I agree - since I got pregnant, my finger became irritated under my wedding band. I was told it was from soap, etc. I rubbed cortisone cream on my finger when I'm not wearing the ring and it helped.

Re: ring question

I have this problem.

no its NOT moisture- you are probably allergic to white gold or rhodium

do you have this problem with platinum? or are all of your rings white gold???

do NOT buy another white gold ring if you have this probelm with white gold

for me, i thought it was moisture but its NOTand i went and bought myself an expensive ring as a gift for myself after a bonus, well it was white gold and i ended up selling it on ebay becasue my skin got red and itchy.

dont waste your money until you figrue out if you are allergic

i got my engagement and wedding band in platinum and have since never experienced this problem again...
i recommend platinum

both my engagement ring and band are platinum. And I never had a problem before I was married and just wearing my e-ring. so I don't think its an allergy.

ok thats good
becasue it sounded like my problem and i wasted alot of money on whitegold rings thinkngi it was soap

Re: ring question

I have a similar type of ring, but no problems.

My DH had this problem with his ring - no holes. He used to wear his ring all the time. Now he's taking it off at night and has no problems.

I know you said you do that too, but somehow moisture is getting trapped in there.

Good luck.

Re: ring question

I have a similar wedding band. I don't have any irritation, but I do find that it traps water when I wash my hands. I just move the ring up my finger, not fully removing it, and dry it and my finger well with the towel.

Re: ring question

I have the same band with the holes but mine is platinum so maybe that is why I dont have any problems.

Re: ring question

I have the same wedding band. And I also worry about losing rings, so I wash my hands with the rings on by make sure I rinse the rings well. When I get back to my desk and sit down, I take out a towel, take the rings off, dry them, and put them back on.

Do you put on hand cream? I do, and I worried that it would irritate the skin underneath the rings because it's not getting air. But it doesn't seem to bother me. Also makes the rings easier to put on.

I don't have the rash problem, but I do dry my fingers under my rings after I wash my hands. I also just move them up on my ring finger to get under there.
