I probably wouldn't even notice that it wasn't diamond, but if I did, I certainly wouldn't judge.

I think I'm in the minority (or probably being sincere)... I would totally me SECRETLY judgemental if I saw someone who had a fake diamond ring if it was too gaudy! For example, if the CZ was 3cts, I would SO know that it's fake, and judge the person for flaunting trying to pass it as real.
However, if I saw someone wearing a 1ct CZ ring, I'm sure that I couldn't tell the difference, and wouldn't care to, as long as that person was happy....
Please don't beat me up for my sincerity
I won't beat you I have a friend who wears these 3 ct cz earrings and tries to pass them off for real diamonds. She walks around with this big attitude, trying to make people think she is wealthy. In that case, yes I am judgmental.

Re: rings spinoff: Would you wear a cubic zirconia ring?
I keep my e-ring and wedding band most of the time in the safe. My DH got me a CZ ering a few years ago to wear instead. I basically just wear the CZ at work and anyother place that I can bang up or loose my real e-ring. I had lost 3 stones from it in the past. I tell people who ask that the cz e-ring is fake! Why should I care what people think of it and me when I know I have my real one at home!
My FIL is a jewler and my MIL wears cz alot too. She does have GEORGEOUS real (and HUGE) diamonds, but she often preferrs to wear the fake stuff to knock around in.
I would never judge anyone who wears a cz ring. I don't care if they try to pass it off as real.

no, I would never. MY BF just got engaged and her ring is so pretty but the diamond is small. Still it looks great....her friend asked to see it and when she saw it she said and I quote " Oh, that ring is cute...for you." W.T.F, so RUDE!
wow, that is totally rude. I had a girl who was like, a day over the legal age who got engaged to this big-shot broker who has a ton of cash....she got a 4.5 carat ring & insisted on saying things to me like. "oh your size ring is so...practical. " and "oh, it suits you" I wanted to rip her face off - totally RUDE
Once at work a woman said "Oh, how quaint your ring is." I replied " I think it is beautiful and perfect for me. I guess DH is lucky I don't have man hands like SOME ladies do." I wasn't really surprised that she left and didn't tip!

Re: rings spinoff: Would you wear a cubic zirconia ring?
I wouldn't judge, for some people, other things are more important than expensive jewelry. I am happy that I have a diamond, but if we couldn't afford it, I would accept whatever DH gave me in the spirit in which it was intended.
BTW - I have a beautiful CZ tennis bracelet that is set in white gold. When DH gave it to me, he said maybe in a few years he's give me a diamond one, but I said not to bother. It looks real and I am less nervous about wearing it than if it were diamonds.
