Rise of the Jack O Lanterns
Did any one go to Rise of the Jack o lanterns last year? How was it? Just wanted to get opinions - is it fun for adults, or better for kids? Was thinking of buying tickets while they are 50% off!

i went to a late show and I liked it. My parents went to an earlier show and it was crowded and the crowd barely moved.

It was only OK. We went through it pretty quickly and the pumpkins are mostly fake. Before going I didn't think I would notice/ care, but it was obvious.
We went last year and it just wasn't worth it.

I thought it was awful. Too crowded, couldn't see a lot over people. Moved very slowly. Mostly fake pumpkins. Waste of money.

Eh. Went with DS who was 2 at the time and he really wasn't interested. He just liked the toy light up thing we got him.

We went last year. The best way to describe the show is "eh". It wasn't horrible, but it was really nothing amazing, and it certainly could have been!
I got the tickets on LivingSocial for less than half price. To be honest with you, if I paid full price I would have been pretty pissed.

It was ok, at 9yo DS liked it. I don't think we will go again this year, maybe next year.

We had an okay time last year. It was crowded, it had rained earlier so parts were slippery, and it really didn't hold my sons attention (6 at the time) that well. Like someone else said, his favorite part was the light up toy we purchased. We are not going again this year.

We enjoyed it and my DD who was 4 at the time LOVED it. My only complaint was they should've included more to do at the end. You're just dumped into the parking lot at the end and that's it. It would've been nice if they had some festive things after the walk through..........craft vendors, food, music, etc.
I do agree with NOT paying full price, if I had paid full price I would've been SO annoyed. It's not worth what they are charging but I got a great deal on Living Social so it was fine.

Been to this a few times and am going again this year...so much better than the one on LI...totally worth the ride up to Westchester.

Right, I don't regret going, just not something I would rush to do again. They claimed to improve it so I hope it's even better.

Debating on if I should go this weekend or not.
We went the 2nd weekend of October - there were 14 of us in our group - adults and children ranging from 1 year - 6 years. Everyone enjoyed it. We took our wagon, so the kids could get out and in as needed, since it is a long walk. They had more pumpkin designs than last year, more themes and the paths were better equipped to handle strollers/wagons.
We went last year and this year and have no complaints. Plus, the kids can watch the carvers in the tent carve pumpkins and learn the secrets. They also have food and hot drinks you can purchase before/after the walk.

We all enjoyed it, something different to see.
Amazing the artwork on some of the pumpkins.

we went last weekend. we liked it. It is something different. they say go up to the line about 5 minutes after the time on your tickets, so you don't have to wait on line. we did that and it worked like a charm!
