RIU Paradise Island
has anyone been and have any feedback on it - my Dh and i are looking for someplace to go for our one year annniversary and were thinking about Paradise Island Bahamas,
the sandals there seems overpriced and i havnt heard the greatest reviews and atlantis seems very expensive -
riu is right next door to atlantis, only opened in december 2004 and seems priced right $2900 for 6 nights all inclusive including airfare.
thanks in advance

Re: RIU Paradise Island
I saw pretty bleh reviews of that place too on trip advisor. What about the Radisson there.. not the greatest either but I think it got better reviews.. Not sure Bahamas needs to open some more hotels.. Besides Atlantis and Sandals not to much to choose from

Re: RIU Paradise Island
Didnt see it when I was there. We stayed at The Radisson , it was great. The rooms are only so-so but the grounds are some of the best there, and the beach is the largest besides Sandals which is down the block.

Re: RIU Paradise Island
I know this is not exactly what you are looking for, but in support of the RIU company....we stayed at the RIU Palace in Riviera Maya Mexico and it was AMAZING to say the least....the resort was absolutely beautiful, and the staff was nothing less than excellent. The prices were not bad either and believe me I am not rich. You can FM me with any other questions but Id definitely recommend RIU - DH and I feel like its our own little secret because we feel like no one ever goes there that we know of.
