Road Closures due to Hofstra Debate - need quick help!
I'm going to be leaving work soon, and I need some quick help for a colleague. She was saying that the Hempstead Tpke East exit from the Meadowbrook is closed due to the debate. This is not consistent with what I am seeing online. Does anyone know if this is the case? She needs that exit to get home, and just moved to the area, so she doesn't know alternate routes well. I'm trying to help her out.
For my own commute, the Meadowbrook in general is open, correct?
TIA!

Unless she's driving a commercial vehicle, she's fine!
and yes, you are fine with the meadowbrook.

Road Closures due to Hofstra Debate - need quick help!
All lanes of Hempstead Turnpike will remain open to passenger vehicles. But drivers should expect periodic delays on Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity due to intermittent road closings throughout the day, especially near Hofstra’s main entrance and Nassau Coliseum.
I think she should be fine. But I'm sure traffic will be a nightmare.

if for some reason she encounters a road closure, she could always get off at the stewart avenue exit, heading east, and cut through eisenhower park to get back to hempstead turnpike (i suggest cutting through the park because I believe merrick ave will also be impacted by the closures to commercial vehicles).
