Road Trip Ideas Needed....
Family of 4 - two kids 4 and 8...road trip..one week...leaving from all the way out east long island going???
DH wants to go to Canada - Montreal...I could be on board. He is also throwing around washington DC and I though PA for the kids en route...
I am open to all ideas...
If you have taken a road trip where have you gone and where did you stop?

one year we did williamsburg, virginia on then on the way home did dc.
another did parts of pennsylvania including hershey park.
another did maine with a stop in boston.
my parents liked road trips when i was young and had to include something to keep my sister and i entertained. there is only so many historical sites you can see without getting bored. most hotels had to have a pool or we had to go to some entertaining amusement park.
also did niagara falls many times with stops at 1000 islands and coopestown and other state parks.

Ausable chasm to Montreal to Ottawa to Toronto to Niagara Falls.
Philadelphia please touch museum to science museum to liberty bell to Camden aquarium and Hershey park done park and or camelbeach water park.

Road Trip Ideas Needed....
New Hampshire! Canada is too far IMO. Once we went in a road trip from NH to canada. I was 12 and miserable and bored in Canada. Totally didn't appreciate it. But loved nh bc there is so much to do with little kids.

Rhode Island, Boston, Williamsburg Va and stopped at DC on way home to see White House, Baltimore harbor - awesome aquarium, ocean city Maryland, Myrtle Beach.

Road Trip Ideas Needed....
Dh and I did a road trip to Niagara Falls and stayed on the Canadian side for a few days. We really enjoyed that trip and plan to go back with dd when she's a little older. We also took a detour and stopped in PA on the way home (near the Poconos) to visit DHs mom, so it's totally doable to include PA and Canada into one week long trip.
