Robitussin helped me get PG...

As I posted earlier, this month I got a BFP after 10 months of TTC. The other day I was trying to figure out what I did differently this month and once I discovered what it may have been I knew I had to share it with you all...
I was taking ROBITUSSIN. I had read that it helps ttc bc it makes your CM runnier and since i did have a cold I thought why not take some robitussin for it (OK, maybe I took it a few days after the cold was gone too Chat Icon )...anyway, i wanted to share this information bc it could be what helped me!

GOOD LUCK!!!

FYI: If you decide to try this, make sure the only active ingredient is Guaifenesin!!! CVS has a brand called "Tussin" which is fine to use...

Here is an article that gives more info:

Interesting! Did you take it only around time of ovulation?

I read that you should take it beginning five days before you ovulate plus the day you ovulate for six total days. Not sure how true that is, I just googled it Chat Icon Anyone know for sure? Also, for those of us who have inconsistent cycle lengths, not sure how that would work????

Re: Robitussin helped me get PG...

I started taking it about a week before I O for my cold. Once I got my + OPK I continued to take it about 1 or 2 times a day...usually an hour or so before we BD Chat Icon ...

Here is a quote from an article that I found very imformative....(link to the article is below):
"Take a dose of plain Robitussin cough syrup (or any cough medicine that says "expectorant" and NOT "antihistamine") each day (preferably a few hours prior to "trying") starting around Day 10 until the day after your ovulation predictor goes off. It should help make all the mucus in your body runnier, including that produced by your cervix. (Oh the gruesome details required in baby-making!) The sperm in the runnier mucus will live about two days, and will be up there and ready for the 12-hour life of the egg."
