Robitussin question
OK, after reading up on this, I am oing to try it this month. It also happens that I am sick and I think this may help. MY question is this: I have read that it should just be plain Robittusin, no letters after it, but it also says it should be an expectorant and have Guaifenesin. Well I read this online, but it has DM after it. Is this ok for increasing CM? TIA!!
Robitussin® DM Cough Control — For dry, hacking coughs that are more frequent accompanied by chest congestion, try Robitussin DM Cough Control. It soothes a sore throat and helps stop coughing.
Active Ingredients (in each 5 mL tsp) Dextromethorphan HBr, 15 mg ... Cough suppressant Guaifenesin, 100 mg ... Expectorant See label for full information

Re: Robitussin question
I think that as long as it is an expectorant and not an anithystimine (sp?) you are good.
good luck!

Re: Robitussin question
OK, I just did a little more research and read that the ONLY active inredient should be the Guaifenesin.

You can also try preseed - I think it is essentially supposed to do the same thing...

Re: Robitussin question
Pre seed much easier and no nasty taste as Octobergirl said. This is really only for people that have no CM. You don't get EWCM?

Re: Robitussin question
Robitussin does make a Guaifenesin-only type. I really liked the Mucinex (again, guaifenesin only, NO DM) pills as well.......

Re: Robitussin question
can't hurt if you do them both. the month i got pregnant we used both. i had bought mucinex for ttc, but actually used it because i had a horrible cold with cough. must have worked for both causes

sounds like a good idea
interestingly, though, in past months ttc i had used mucinex and had noticed a significant increase in CM. but the month i actually got pregnant, i had no obvious CM at all. maybe i had enough inside, where it counts, and it just didn't find its way out to make its presence known (i wasn't checking inside)... but my point is, even if you don't notice much CM, you still may be making some and mucinex really does help. GL!!!!

Mucinex IS guaifenesin. It is easier to take those pills than taking Robituss (it tastes terrible) and you'd have to take a lot of it to be the same dose as the Mucinex.

ITA
And Robitussin isn't just for people without EWCM, it is to help thin it out. Some people have a lot of EWCM, but it is really thick and the sperm can't get through it and they die. The robitussin is supposed to thin it out and make for a happy environment for the little guys.

What is in Preseed?
It's basically a lube that helps with conceiving. It mimics cm I believe.
