Rock band or Guitar hero?
Im addicted to both...
I got DH guitar hero for Christmas (along with a wii)
My brother (who has xbox 360) got rock band...
All I can say is we had a blast all playing together and making complete fools out of ourselves ..
Its a shame they dont make it for the wii..
Im really good on the drums

In the long run.....Rock Band will beat out Guitar Hero as a music game...simply cause they will have whole albums available for download for Rock Band -- plus you can play more than one instrument.
I love Guitar Hero---but I played Rock Band for the first time this week....and I swear DH and I are going to buy a PS3 JUST so we can get rock band.

well it seems with rockband that you always need more than 1 person to play. I could be wrong bc I never played it but is thats the case my vote if for guitar hero bc that you can play on your own

no you don't--you can play alone...any instrument...guitar...drums...microphone.
if you don't have anyone else to play the other stuff with--you can go online and create bands with ppl around the country!

I got rockband for dh (ok more for me  ) and we played my bros gh3 last ngiht...
gh3 is a cool game but i think rockband is better... unless ur really into playing just the guitar i think its better to get RB

I think Rock Band is better. More diversity and it's the actual artists singing vs. a cover band on GH.

Just remember the people who made Guitar Hero & GH2 are the same people who made RockBand. They did NOT make Guitar Hero 3!!!
So with that, I’m holding out for Rockband.
ETA Plus all the songs you can download, makes the game even bigger than it really is.

Ohhhh We played rock band at Christmas yesterday.. It kicked AZZ. The best part was watching my 8 year old cousin (who's family is very conservative religous) singing Black Sabbath. I thought her Dad would keel over..
My vote is for Rock Band.

Ok, so we got Rockband last night
It is so much fun!!!!
Hubby was a bit shocked at the 'some assembly required' but he can play the drums so he doesn't feel so left out since I rock the guitar
Loving it!

I'm really good on the drums too! MIL got it for DH's cousin and we played it Christmas day. I think I like guitar hero better though. We have it and the novelty hasn't worn off. I think it will for Rock Band.

I love guitar hero. I played rock band a little at a friend's house this past weekend and didn't like it as much.
I think they have to come up with a different drum set, the one it comes with is really annoying, all you hear is the tapping.

i would say GH unless you have a "game room" or a place where you can keep rock band set up. i dont have the room for it and i dont want it to be part of my living room "decor"

i played Rock band last nite for like 5 hours at a friend's house....it blows Guitar Hero out of the water. i hate to admit it--cause i'm a GH fan...but its unreal.
while yes GH3 has a lot of original artists---rock band has MORE songs by original artists as well as it has more popular songs. on GH3 the "bonus" songs are all by original artists--but you've never heard of them!
all around rock band is a fun party game...and you can play any instrument by itself as well. its unreal.
and the fact that in the next year or so you'll be able to go and DL like entire ALBUMS from artists for rock band is pretty sweet

I have never played Rock Band, but I would love to check it out. I hope they come out with it for wii at some point. I have GH3 which is fun, but I think Rock Band will probably be better, especially if you are able to download more songs.

Well we don't have Rock band soo i can't really vote on this BUT I bought DH Guitar Hero for Christmas and I have to say I LOVE IT. I think that I think I'm even MORE addicted to it than DH is (hey, nothing better than giving someone a gifts as much for yourself as for them )
Rock band does look like WAY too much fun though .. I'm just scared to get it and be THAT much into anymore games

Really? I had no idea! I have never played ROCKBAND but DH and I have noticed a difference between GH 1&2 and the 3rd one

we played GH3 at a firends house and I got rockband for DH for Christmas. I love Rockband and love even more that DH and I can play at the same time.
