I love Guitar Hero. Does anyone else think Guitar Hero 2 was harder than Guitar Hero 3? 3 seems SO MUCH easier than 2 to me! I don't know if its just because I'm so much better (doubt it) or what!
I looked into Rock Band - a lot of people are mad at the price of the peripherals. Each of the peripherals (guitar, microphone, drums) is AT LEAST 50 bucks. Which, when you think about it, isn't bad separately. But if you want to play the game to its full potential - between buying the game, guitar, bass, microphone, drum - you're looking at a 300 dollar investment.
That's probably why they made it playable online, they realize that people are never going to buy all of them - so they thought at least people will be able to hook up with other people that have different instruments... but I'm not sure how much fun it would be playing with someone that you're not with physically.
It definetly looks interesting!

We played last night too!
So fun!
We are getting it.
I played "talk Dirty To me" and got booed off 3 times. Then I did a practice round and I did a lot better.
I have these songs in my head all AM now!!!

Just bought it today along, We also bought something else called Singstar, which comes with 2 microphones and a cd (karaoke).
Can't wait to test them out.

My bad - I see that they changed the prices. Around May or so before the official pricing was released that was the rumor!

I have GHII, GHIII, and GH Rock of the 80's and i love them all.
i think GH3 techincally in the lower levels like easy and medium--is easier to play than the previous Guitar Heros, cause the window of time for you to hit a note is larger. HOWEVER if you try and play GHIII on hard or expert--it is MUCH MUCH harder than it was on the last guitar heros. there are so many more notes, more tapping required and even more 3 note chords than before.
i could talk about this game all day long. lolol

you have no idea. my friend brought it over to play and i tried it--like a 3 or 4 times and couldn't figure it out and thought it was "stupid" so she left it at my house and i played again, and started figuring it out. a day later--i was hooked.
now i tend to play on hard and i'm working my way up thru expert. my DH finally started playing and he's barely thru Easy career and gets mad cause i'm so much better than he is.

No way!! Have you gotten to Metallica's "One" on Hard yet? That song is impossible!!!
Maybe Medium is a little easier because I beat the game on medium in one night.
