Rocking chair vs. glider
Is a glider for the nursery much better than a standard rocking chair while nursing? TIA!

Re: Rocking chair vs. glider
Ok, I was given a glider by a woman DH works with. In the beginning, I loved it. However - now that DD is 4 months I HATE it. It served it purpose. The wood creeks like there's no tomorrow which is great when you're trying to rock DD to sleep DD is way too big now for me to get comfortable to nurse her in it. The arms of it are just too high and it's narrow.
So, last week, I went out and bought a new rocker/glider from BRU and I'm in heaven. It was the best investment ever. I'm glad the original one was given to us (I didn't feel bad about buying #2)
(the one I just bought - It's like sitting on a cloud )

Re: Rocking chair vs. glider
I like the fact that the gliders don't have the large, crushing "rockers" that can break toys, crush pet's tails, or even hurt DC's fingers when they get a little bigger, especially if there is another child in the room with them. One will play on the rocker, and the other will be on the ground playing.....
