Rocking Horse Ranch - one night

Any advise? We are going in August for a couple of days when kids are done with camp. My boys are 9 and 7. Any advise? Things to do or things not worth doing?
Any good drinks?! LOL!

My parents are giving us money towards it's for DS's 7th birthday and mine as well so we thought this would be fun to get away a few days. Then my 9 year old goes off to sleepaway for a week.
These kids have better summers than I did!

ETA - now thinking going one night and 2 full days.

Is that enough time or do you think it's worth the 2 nights?

You can bring your own drinks there. They have a full bar but most people bring their own.

Never been in the summer usually go winter and spring. Its great!

ETA a question. We may go one night depending with DH's work and how expensive it is.

Is it worth to pay another night? We would plan to do 2 full days. It's only a 2 hour drive.

Thanks

People always complain about the price but anyone we go with always says its worth it. Everything is included even the tipping. If you bring your own booze you don't spend another dime. The food is excellent. We haven't been in the summer but in my opinion an extra day is always better!!

The summers at RHR are awesome.
Stay as long as you can. There are tons of activities, food is a little too plentiful, the horse rides are wonderful... I can go on and on.

I don't drink so I can't speak for the bars.

We went 3 times in the summer and once in the winter. I was bored in the winter compared to the summer.

ETA: to save some money, book the Oklahoma building. It's a few steps from the main building but the prices seem to be much cheaper.

We stayed 2 nights...our second night/third day was more of the same.
Kids had fun.

The day you arrive and the day you leave, you get to use the facilities so plan wisely. We went with 4 other families. While we all had fun, going back a second time would be boring to me as we did everything a few times.

Yes, Bring your own drinks for sure! Brought cooler into room and had a great time.
