Re: Roman's got coxsackie
If he seems like he is in pain you could give him tylenol, other than that give him plenty to drink! I hope he feels better

Re: Roman's got coxsackie
As much fluids as possible. Cold is better than warm. I found while they may not drink a warm bottle, they would often drink a cold or room temp one. If you're nursing, just continue you as much as possible.
Tylenol or motrin if miserable. Unfortunately there's not much you can do other than wait it out. Keep him away from other babies & start making calls of those who've you had contact with in the last 5 days or so. Very contagious. In an adult it will be general malaise (you may feel just cr@ppy, fluish).
Hope he gets over it quickly.

Re: Roman's got coxsackie
Thanks ladies. He doesn't want to eat anything but is still taking his bottles and having wet diapers so that much I'm grateful for. He just can't sleep so he looks like a zombie

Re: Roman's got coxsackie
call your doc, they have a mouth rinse which is soothing for when babies have cox sackie, it helped my daughter sooo very mch, I just used a cotton swab and swished it around her nouth, You can also use oragel on the big blisters you can see. it will numb them for a little while so he can get some relief. Wjat about ice pops, make sure he drinks it is too hot for his little body to be without fluids hug:

Re: Roman's got coxsackie
My DS had this 2 weeks ago...I can sympathize. Wait it out...it only lasts 3-5 days (it took us the full 5 days). We alternated tylenol and motrin as suggested by the doctor....and he likes ice pops....they were nice and soothing to his throat. Good luck to you guys and I hope your son feels better soon!
