Romantic NYC weekend?
My cousin's girlfriend just broke up with him and he wants to get her back. He is looking to give her an entire romantic weekend in the city. He is looking for: restaurants? plays? romantic activities? And whatever else you can come up with. TIA

Re: Romantic NYC weekend?
We spent an overnight in the city for our anniversary in November. While we are there every weekend, we took the opportunity to see it like tourists.
Dinner at our favorite romantic restaurant (Petrossian)
After dinner we went up to the Empire State Building
Loved, loved loved the 3 hour Circle Line Tour - lived here my whole life and never did that. Yes it was cold, but cuddled up together drinking hot chocolate was uber romantic
We did a backstage tour of the Metropolitan Opera House..it was special and romantic for us because it's a special place for us.
How about skating at Wollman (sp?) Rink or Rock Center?
Although Cheesy and expensive - Horse and Carriage Ride through the park

Re: Romantic NYC weekend?
we stayed at the waldorf-astoria once for a weekend (DH's b-day) and it was the most romantic and beautiful hotel i have ever stayed in! it was absolutely phenomenal and we went on a horse and carriage ride in central park after eating dinner at tavern on the green - which was outstanding! you can't get much more romantic than that!!
