Romantic Weekend Getaway?
Where should DH and I go?!?! Leaving on Thursday 9/25 and returning that Sunday. Since buying our first home, things have been crazy. DH's work hours are insane and we haven't gone on vacation since our honeymoon over 2 years ago. Looking for somewhere romantic, relaxing, great restaurants, and preferably no more than a 4 hour drive. Thoughts? Towns/general area recs would be great, but names of hotels/bed & breakfasts would be even better! Thanks

New England will be starting early stages of folliage. Go north! BBB in Vermont or NH would be nice!

Re: Romantic Weekend Getaway?
Pearl's in Newport is great. And there are lots of great restaurants. If you want more of a spa, look into Saybrook Inn, Spa at Woodloch, Grand Cascades or Norwich Inn. We've also done nice trips to Philly and combined it with a night in AC. The Borgata is our favorite. And if you get a room at the Water Club there's a cool adults only pool area.

Woolverton Inn in New Hope, PA
Also agree with Water Club in AC. The spa is awesome and has a private pool.

We did the Lamplight Inn near Lake George. I'd do it again!

Re: Romantic Weekend Getaway?
We are going to New Hope, PA labor day weekend. I can't wait, we haven't had a vaca without kids in 4 years! The B&B we booked is one I've never stayed at before but looks awesome, is kind of pricey but we need this. Fyi- they still have some rooms available. I just want to drink champagne, sit by the pool & only leave the b&b for a little shopping and dinner in the late afternoon.

I've never been to Newport, but everyone says it's beautiful. I also love Salem, MA or Mystic, CT.

Ogunquit Maine...We stayed at the Parsons Post House Inn. Very quaint, clean, and affordable.
