Ronkonkoma and Connetquot school district
We are planning on making an offer on a house in Ronkonkoma and I was wondering how the Connetquot school district is, and also how is the area? I'm not familiar with much of Long Island since I commute from Babylon to the city every day. So any info would be great!

I love it! It's a very good school district, and I think it's a good size. Big enough so it has everything, program and sports-wise, but not so big that you need 4 HS buildings to fit everyone.
I've heard some not-so-great things about Ronkonkoma on the north side of the lake, but that's not in the Town of Islip, nor Connetquot SD.
I've been here for about 14 years. We decided to add onto our house instead of moving since we like the area and the schools.

I lived in ronkonkoma my whole life and attended Conntequot. I loved them both, we are looking to move there as well.. I agree with the north side of the lake being not so great but thats sachem school district anyway.
I would recomend this area and school district to anyone.

We used to live there too and I loved the area. I too agree that it is nicer than the north side of the lake.

I grew up in ronkonkoma and went to connetquot. Love it. I actually stayed in Ronkonkoma when I moved out of my parents place and would love to buy a house here. Just can't beat the location. I like the area by the middle school the best but I'd also look into parts of the sachem side. Good Luck.
