Room color and comforter color Question
Edited to add pic. It didn't work the first time.
I don't know what color to go with in the bedroom. I am afraid if I go tan I might be too tanned out. I don't know...any help?

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
Our comforter is actually this color and we painted the walls a sage green. It looks really nice. My friend has the same comforter and painted her walls a medium tan and it also looks very nice.

I have a light beige comforter too. We painted our walls a very, very light mint green.

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
I tend to be very impulsive with paint. I bring home samples, put them up and decide yuck. Luckily Ben. Moore makes the sample size, without it i would be out so much $$$.

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
What about painting the wall the bed is on a nice rich color to contrast and the other 3 walls a beige/tan. That way, if you don't like it, you only have to paint one wall. If you do like it, you can have a nice rich color without being overwhelmed

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
I have a "small" BR and painted the walls Driftwood - it's a softer chocolate brown - and it didn't close in the room at all. It's very warm and inviting - like a cup of hot chocolate
I would go with either that or a mossy green. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
Id suggest a brown also, Im considering chocolate pudding, taupe tone, or firewood (all by BM) for our bedroom. If you choose a warm brown I dont think it will make your bedroom look smaller.

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
i think neutral and light is the best option- go for the darkest color on the quilt and match it to that

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
I would also recommend a sage green or a wine color if you are more daring. It looks like there is a deep wine color in the bedding where there is embroidery so you could play up on that color and also use your window treatments, throw pillows to accent that color!

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
I think a deep color would look great (Green, or somethining in the Red family) but if you're not into dark rooms, Sage Green or a Medium brown would look nice - I wouldn't go TOO light or it may look washed out -

Re: Room color and comforter color Question
Thanks again everyone. Maybe I will go with a brown (not to dark) and then as someone said use window treatments to help pick up the other colors.

No, it's alight blue, which was goign to be my suggestion. I have a simliar colored comforter & right now we rent so the wallk are off white which looks nice.
We are movign & I have been playing with paint chips. I am thinking of a pale blue-green-gray color.
I couldn't find a green that worked, b/c mine has a darker khaki section that has a little bit of an olive undertone, but it migth work for you.
Is that vine green? You could pick up on that color.
