ROOM MAKEOVER -- including new 52in Sharp Aquos and palm tree themed futon

It's a very calming bedroom ... the TV will of course go better in our future house!

I agree!
This is why i don't post ... 
Prehaps my answer would of been "Maybe she likes to watch tv in the bed" like you said "BETH1210"
or maybe, in the future when they get there house (in the op) they may move it to a bigger room.
Why does it matter, (well, for me) big tv in small space that cost $$$$$ doesn't add up then again, imo...

haha I just read through the post now ... Anyway, like I said in the post the TV will go better in our future house but right now we want to watch TV in our bedroom from the couch ... It's great to watch TV on it ... its like we're in the movie theatre - and FI is a huge movie buff. Also, we looked up the proper viewing distance for a 52" inch TV and they said 13 feet which is smaller than the bedroom so we thought it would work. It looks better in person.
Anyway, it will be going in our living room one day or basement. NO WORRIES.

I must have missed the maximum size requirement for a TV to be placed in the bedroom. Hmmmm I'll google it. just kidding

we did the same. plus, we figured, once we buy a house, we probably wouldnt be able to splurge on the plasma, so we just splurged now!  DH and I do think it looks kind of obnoxious in our bedroom, but then again, its also like a mini movie theater in there, so we have no complaints!
the room came out great!!
