Rosie lashes out about Paula and AI...
Not sure if this was talked about already or not on here but I just saw an article about what Rosie said on The View in regards to Paula and AI (how they make fun of people). She feels that they go too far and she basically said that she feels Paula is drunk most of the time, if not all the time.
DH and I have commented on the fact that Paula seems drunk quite often (last season and this season) and that we are surprised it took this long for someone to comment on it...
Thoughts or feelings on that? Anyone else notice this? Also, do they go "too far" with what they say to the people auditioning??

I do feel they go over the top and a lot moreso this season. They are now making it common practice to criticize someone's appearance rather than just their voice. However, most people know when they audition what the show is about. No one is forcing these people to audition.
As for Rosie I think she needs to stop criticizing everyone. I think calling ehr a drunk is a very serious allegation, and in the not to distant past Rosie was not "little miss sunshine" either. How quickly they forget.

Yeah, Paula is a little off. Sure the comments are rude and borderline mean, but common this is television. Lots of this stuff is staged and if people really were hurt or embarrassed they would not have signed a waiver to allow them to use the footage on the show.
I think Rosie needs to quit. She is soooo annoying. I used to enjoy The View, mostly for the hot topics, but now I refuse to watch bc of her.

Yes, I can see both sides of the coin...
I agree that Paula does seem to be on something (whatever that may be) and in the past it has been hard to watch- and I think to myself, are young people noticing this?! Yikes! So that's inappropriate.
I also agree w/ the fact that Rosie does tend to have something to say about everyone and that she is not so perfect either (like the reference the above poster made to her past being anything but spotless) this is very true.
As far as the judges going over board? IDK, I think they do but at the same time these kids know what they are in for when they sign up for this b/c the judges are famous for doing it in the past-- does it make it right? Not really but at the same time it's a choice to audition and people love to watch.

Yeah I have to say I don't watch it anymore b/c she just dominates so much and goes over board a lot of the time... Unfortunately I feel as though we are in the minority here-- It seems like for every one person who does not watch it anymore b/c of her- there are 10 people who go out of their way to watch it FOR her.

I totally agree.... I felt before when Meredith, Star and the other ladies were there they had a better balance. The conversations were more thoughtful and interesting. Now, Rosie just monopolizes the first 15-20 min of the show. I don't think she understands the concept behind being a CO-HOST.

I saw that clip on the news with her... WACKO
THEN the next day I watched her on Regis and Kelly. She couldn't even speak... They even CUT parts of her out.

She has always been this way- this is who she really is and now people are starting to see it- scary
My mom saw her in the City once and she was like, yelling at people and barking orders at them to get out of her way

I watched the View yesterday and Rosies comments were more about how the judges make fun of some people who try out and are clearly mentally ill. They showed a clip of one guys audtion and I was shocked at the way he was treated. IMO the judges went totally overboard.

and Rosie just makes me want to throw up. she makes the ugliest faces that make me want to slap her... she doesn't know how to shut the F up, AND she never has ANYTHING intelligent to say, so i really so no need for her moutht o be flapping all of the time
ugh! what a waste of space... both of them!
