Rotavirus vaccine and sleeping baby
DS had his 1st shot of Rotavirus today at 10 weeks.
He has been sleeping for 3 hours after we came back from the Dr. He woke up to eat. Was up for about 1.5 hour and know is back to sleep.
Is that normal with that vaccine?

I've noticed when ever my children would get shots they seemed to sleep more then usually. My opinon I thinks it's fine.

Re: Rotavirus vaccine and sleeping baby
Noah had no reaction to the rotovirus except extra poop for a few days.
Dont read into it...Maybe it was stress?
But If it is, still nothing to worry about..

same with us. It was nice considering DD never slept. We almost looked forward to shots (except for the actual shot part in the dr. office when she & I both cried.)

It's great that you were able to get this shot. Ava is 3, and it wasn't available when she was a baby. She was hospitalized with Rotovirus at 12 months and at 18 months. For almost a week both times. It was heartbreaking. Thank god it is available now..

Oh no! Poor little thing!
It's actually taken orally. DS did not say a thing.
We were not sure if we were going to do it or not but the ped explained a lot about it and we felt it was better if DS was going to be in contact with other kids, etc..
