Rough 1st trimester...starting to feel human again
I haven't been on LIF in awhile and I thought I would give a mini update as to why I disappeared.. First off my baby is growing wonderfully, I'm 15 weeks and all of my tests and ultrasounds have come back picture perfect and for that I am very thankful.
Unfortunately since thanksgiving eve I have been suffering from the worst possible morning sickness that I could have ever imagined. I don't know if I technically had hyperemesis gravidarum (sp??) but it sure felt like it. I was throwing up 6-7 times a day, smells would dehabilitate me, and I could keep nothing food or drink down. I suffered through this feeling for a month because I was afraid to take Zofran, but eventually began the Zofran in late december. It helped soooo much. The throwing up was now only once a day, even though smells and every day activities would still make me gag and dry heave.
Feeling so terrible left me in a really bad state emotionally. I was really depressed and unable to look at anything having to do with pregnancy. I had enjoyed the LIF boards so much, but logging on while I was feeling so awful just made me feel sad... Thankfully, even though I am still throwing up 1-2 times a day I am much better now. I am getting out of the house more, seeing friends (I had pretty much been a hermit for the last 3 months), and finally felt good enough to log back on to LIF and the pregnancy boards!!
Sorry for the long post, I am just really happy to be feeling slightly human again!

i'm so sorry you were feeling badly... last pregnancy i had a very rough first tri also. if it makes you feel any better, second time around was not great, but not nearly as bad. so every pregnancy IS different, in case you ever decide to do this again

Aw I am so sorry you were having such a rough time, but am happy to hear that the baby is growing healthy and strong and you are almost out of the woods. Hopefully it gets better from here! Welcome back!!

Glad you are feeling better. I am going through the same thing right now so it feels good to know there is light at the end of the tunnel.
