RPL .
I have GHI and use Quest labs. My RE didn't fill out the RLP form bc it would not be covered by insurance. He wrote out the specific tests I needed and I brought that to Quest. I had 20 vials of blood taken. I just paid a copay. I was worried I would get a bill from quest but nothing yet and I did the BW 2 months ago. Crossing my fingers no bill comes.

My first code was ovulatory dysfunction. Now its RPL and there has been no difference in coverage. Still got my progesterone in oil for $10 . Call Kofinas and ask the billing lady. They should be very knowledgeable.

I think she means the diagnostic code. BUT regarding the recurrent loss blood work, GHI covers it 100%. My re wouldn't let me use quest for it so GHI sent me the $ to pay the bill. You def should not get a bill.

I did mean the diagnostic code. My bloodwork was 100% covered but my insurance is changing (still no infertility coverage) but wasn't sure if meds would be covered if its coded RPL and not infertility. Or if meds are considered treatment and are not covered. I am talking about things like lovenox and progesterone

Lovenox is not a fertility med in any way. It's a blood thinner. Men can use it! ;)
Progesterone shouldn't count as a fertility med either, honestly. When I think fertility med, I. think things like Gonal-f or menopur.

Re: RPL .
So why is it so hard to get lovenox covered by insurance? (I have been googling and a lot of people have said this)

Re: RPL .
No clue, I've had a few different insurances and never had a problem. Actually come to think of it, for me the generic was covered. It was never a problem.
Eta: maybe you googled that people had trouble getting the brand name covered, but generic is fine. I actually used the 'real' lovenox a few times and prefer the needle and syringe on the generic.
