Love Dr Trivax but hate the office!! My issues were with a couple of the nurses and one of the front desk people. I've had success under Dr Trivax care (20 month old DD and 26 weeks pregnant).
If he was to leave it I'm sure a lot of ladies on this board would follow him to his new practice.
ONLY after you threated to leave this practice if this round didn't work DID he actual step up to the plate and make a change in your protocol. Now you are preg. Please.
Someone seems angry! My embryos are not in this office anymore. I did move them and they are sitting frozen at North Shore. He did change my protocol so what are you talking about.

people say it is less busy, and better care Every office has its issues but at the end of the day, it is the Dr's names on the door. They are ultimately responsible for the behavior of staff, quality of care. When the Dr's don't care...why should the rest of the staff.
This office does not have enough fulltime people working.
How can finance only be in until 2 PM how can one person be responsible for orders meds for 100 pts??

Sickened not angry, you did a lot of complaining about this office and had concerns about Tx. He only changed the protocol AFTER you told him this was his last shot. Otherwise he would have never changed, that I'm sure of.
you moved your embryos ? Clearly you would not be using him again

No I'm not using them again!!! I said in that October or November post that if he didn't change it I was leaving. He changed it I had the endometrial biopsy which you're right he probably would not have suggested if I didn't threaten him. I was also on Prednisone from Ovulation through my 6th week of pregnancy which he didn't originally agree to(originally suppose to be ovulation until transfer date). He agreed to change it...yes it should not have taken a threat to do it but he did it.
My biggest issue as I said in my original post was the nurses and front desk staff. They screwed up my Lovenox order(they never ordered it); this is post IVF cycle when I was seeing them early stages of this pregnancy. I was down to my last vial by the time it got ordered and he had to personally do it since the nurses couldn't get it right.

Sorry if I terrified you. Infertility is scary enough. I should have specified that this was the Mineola office. Hopefully if you can go for monitoring at a smaller, less busy office like West Islip, you'll get better attention.
I should add that Trivax did my D&C and I found him very warm and comforting. No issues with him. I just saw him very rarely (and I was in that Mineola office 3 times a week for months) - it was almost always Saketos and Sung.

Don't like Saketos at all; only saw her once before graduating and it was not a pleasant experience. I was 5 weeks and had some spotting she said how their should be a fetal pole visible on the sonogram so it could go either way. I was like "what the "; working as a l&d nurse and now high risk obstetrics fetal pole doesn't show up until 6 weeks or so on average. Avoid her at all costs.
Let me also add the times I've seen her roaming the office she looks disheveled.

The voice mail message makes it sound as if their is only one person who handles it but when I got a bill in February(got a random bill that was already paid but takes them forever to show payments{keep all receipts}) there to the finance office in Mineola there was like 8 people working in there.

There is so much I want to say about this place but Ir would take too long. Best advice is to be your own advocate. If it doesn't feel right chances are, it's not. You are a patient and spending money on this process and should get top quality care. At this place you will not. Feel free to fm me for specifics.

I met Dr. Trivax a few times and liked him, he was really the only thing that I liked about the office. The front desk employees always acted like I was bothering them. I didn't feel comfortable with the office and ended up not doing any cycles with them. I am getting ready to do a cycle with Dr. Zapantis and I am very happy.

MAEDE save yourself from stress and misery. Before you get too involved in a cycle at this office you owe it to yourself to have a consult elsewhere to feel the difference for yourself. RSofNY will cause added stress and unhappiness. Just walking through the door at different office, I can guarantee you will immediately feel a sense of calm.
again, as I said before. Do not believe this office or Billing dept. Always call your insurance company to confime RsonNy submitted
A Dr. who can put a big smile on and say comforting words means nothing, they are just words. Just words he knows pts wants to hear.

I actually went back to LIIVF today. I left 6 messages at RSOF NY spoke to each of the finance people twice and they have still yet to get back to me if they confirmed with my insurance company the things that they need to . I'm done. this is all stressful enough with out the stress of a terrible office. on thing I have to say in favor of LIIVF is that there office is very efficient. And I like Dr Brenner a little better today. Thank you ladies for all your warnings.

Re: RSOFNY
This office is ideal for simple cases and they have had success with those. More complex cases are a different story. I started with Sung and she did all the correct testing prior to starting a cycle including HSG, water sono, semen analysis and blood tests. My AMH was confirmed terrible by her but what I liked about RS is that they will still take on the hopeless cases that many REs will turn away to keep their SART data looking good. She was not the sweetest but she seemed knowledgable with new data and techniques. The office was always clean and the staff was very supportive with me and nurses always called back. When my insurance couldn't deliver my meds same day, Cheryl gave me donated meds on the spot. I never waited for my appointments and usually got my desired times. This was back in 2013 when I think they had the original staff and better reviews. There has been much talk on here about the office going down hill and that sucks. Last year I got my surprise BFP and I started to bleed around 6 weeks. Dr. T was my RE at the time and his office advised me to go to an OB bc he does not do peri monitoring plus I did not get pregnant through his procedures. I was no longer a patient at RS but called them freaking out and they took me immediately, same day and did bloodwork and sono and continued to see me until I was 10 weeks because I was too scared to go to an OB yet. Dr. Sung and staff were so supportive and got me through a few bleeding episodes and nerve wracking moments. They were not a good fit for me as a RE being that I am an extreme case with severe endo damage, low amh and I don't respond to meds at all. I consulted with two other offices before seeing Dr. T and no office was perfect as would any office dealing with heavy patient flow. I'm not a cheerleader for RS bc I had my issues with them when I cycled but when shit hit the fan for me and I needed an office to help me, they opened their doors to me, no questions asked. It's sad that things are not going well for them!

One of the staff told me they take on anything that walks through the door, they have no cut off... That does not make them good, and they were crap back in 2012 when I started with them. I think things got even worse once Dr SanR left. One of the Dr had the nurse call me telling me she wanted me to come back the next day, but would not tell me why on the phone. I to the office and Sat for 7 hours waiting for her to talk with me. I asked the RN what was wrong. Oh, the Dr will explain everything. I thought the worst. All she wanted was to discuss my case, but had me wait till all the other pts were finished. 7 hours... I was pissed
just venting Lillies, not at you :)

Re: RSOFNY
It's okay! We all need to vent! I'm not saying they are "good" because they accept anyone. When you have DOR, you will find many offices will not take on your case because of the high risk of failures and therefore SART data will be poor. I was accepted by many offices because of my age (33), still young so I could still beat the numbers but I know many girls who had an amh of .2 (like me) and was told by offices they should only use donor eggs or consider adoption. Maybe they just wanted to take my money knowing I won't succeed? Maybe they have no standards to their practice? I don't know but I'm glad I got the correct work up in general and chance to try all the options, not just IVF.
Personally, I did not have a horrific experience there like many of the other girls so I just wanted to put it out there. I did not have success there unfortunately and when I left, I was disgruntled but when I met with Dr. T, he confirmed many of Sung's opinions so I know she is not a bad Dr. per say. It could be a really great office if it was just run better and more efficiently. It's gotten way too big to accommodate every patient and quality care is going down the drain.
