i have seen the posts regarding RSV, i didn't notice if symptoms consist of fever also. my lil girl is really congested and coughing but doesn't have a fever.

Re: RSV question
It doesn't necessarily consist of having a fever. I always know when Alex has RSV because the cold travels to her lungs, so when I put my ear up against her back I can hear her rattling/wheezing a little.

Re: RSV question
There are a few things you can do to help - keep her elevated when she naps/sleeps by either putting her in the swing, or elevate the crib mattress on one side by putting something under the mattress. Use a steam vaporizer while she naps/sleeps and when it gets particularly bad, steam up the bathroom and sit in there with her for 10-15 minutes

Re: RSV question
you can also do saline drops and bulb syringe if she is coughing up and choking on mucous. Unfortunately, I think Ryan is on his second bout with this crap.

Re: RSV question
Cool Mist Humidifier is the key! It's not a fever, it's a lung infection. You can hear a little wheeze when they breathe in or out.

Re: RSV question
Any drug store/target/walmart etc. You may want to make a Dr. appt to see if a nebulizer might help her (wasn't sure from your orig post if you had an actual diagnosis yet).
FYI Ryan had no fever at first but then developed a fever in the hospital - so it can go either way. He was also eating much less because of struggling to breathe. to your little one, this is so hard on them (and us!)
