Rubber mulch for playground?
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Looking for something to put under our new playground.
Wondering if anyone had any info!

that balck tire stuff does wonders on the kids shoes. Totally ruins them!

We were looking at the red rubber mulch at Home Depot its like $9 a bag.
I would love any feedback too.

I don't, but I read somewhere that the rubber can release toxins, so I wouldn't get it. I think it also gets pretty hot.

We bought our rubber mulch for dd's playground last year from BJ's. It's the dark brown one and it never ruined her shoes/sandals. I would totally recommend it. It does get pretty hot in the sun so the kids have to wear shoes/sandals. But overall it's well worth the $$. It lasted all through the winter and we didn't have to add any bags to it this year. It looks really nice and I think it's the best possible thing to fall on. My dd has fallen from the top of her playhouse and she didn't even cry.
we looked all options and I'm glad we decided on the rubber mulch.

We have it in our flowers beds and it kinda makes a mess. For under our swingset we will be using black interlocking gym mats from BJs. They are indoor/outdoor and make much less of a mess.
