runners - i need help finding a good training plan
I've always been a runner - not a fanatic - but a runner. I've completed two marathons and several 10 milers. But - I've always started training from a point where I could go out and do three miles easily.
I haven't been running in months and between that and the fact that I've gained a little weight - I'm just not there. I am running a 10 miler at the end of August and am looking for a structured training schedule to get my *ss in shape for it. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

There is a running website with a forum like this that may be able to help you.
I think it's coolrunning.com

Check out the NYRR website.
Also train by time not distance. Start with 10-15 minutes and increase the time by the number of days you are running...so if you are running 15 minutes 5 days a week the following week run 20 minutes...
Good luck!
