Runners - recommend your sneakers
I want to start running outside and need to get running sneakers. What do you recommend?

Right now, New Balance are my favorites.
I also like Saucony and ASICs.

Re: Runners - recommend your sneakers
I went to the Runner's Edge in Farmingdale and they were great - they asked a bunch of questions about where and how much I run, if I have any foot problems (I do; I have flat and pronated feet), and found me a good sneaker. I'd recommend them: Asics GT-2130. I run outside and on the treadmill. I have terrible foot problems (the aforementioned flat feet, pronated feet, arthritis in my big toes, bunions...) and these are the only shoes I have ever been able to run comfortably in.

Re: Runners - recommend your sneakers
I am not a "runner" by any stretch of the imagination but for my tough workouts on the treadmill I love my Nike Shox. They give me great support.

I love saconys. I am breaking in a new pair currently with a higher heal though, not sure if I am liking it yet.

Re: Runners - recommend your sneakers
I love New Balance. They are light and very comfortable.
My biggest problem with sneakers is that my laces always untie!!!! I guess I should double knot huh????

Re: Runners - recommend your sneakers
it really is an individual preference. I personally can only wear Nike (or I get shin splints), but I know others who have great expereince with other brands
