Runners-outside running question (snow/ice)
i am a long time runner but will admit that for years i have only run on a treadmill from like january-march. recently however i have been running with my sister outdoors and prefer it. now with the ice/snow it looks like i won't be able to as much but i would like the option to do some quick runs outdoors.
so i am wondering if any of you brave it and what do you wear on your sneakers (if at all)? like spikes or something? do they work? is it worth it? TIA!

I only have regular sneakers... should have thought about this before signing up for the winter run series!

I have these as well. I do not love the feel of them but they are worth it for safety if I want to run outside in today's conditions.

I read that you just put nails or screws on the bottom - does that work?
